Question About Publishing

I was just wondering, do you have to buy the apple developer package also (for 99 $) or can you just get the free version of it, and still be able to publish the game with the elite gamesalad? So it would only cost 99$ instead of (198$)

You can download an use the SDK for free, you just will not be able to sell Apps. You can use the $198 as a tax write off

No, you can not even upload for free. You do need an account for Ad Hoc and iTunes Apps. It's a bummer.

The only thing you can do with the free version is run your app in the simulator.

Free Apple Account allows you to create your iPhone application, but only test / use the iPhone simulator
$99 Apple Account allows you to publish your iPhone app in the app store, and test using physical devices.

Free GameSalad account allows you to create your GameSalad Application, but only test / use the web plugin
$99 GameSalad Account allows you to generate an iPhone app, and test using physical devices.
