A little bit of love

mrfunkleberrymrfunkleberry Member Posts: 424
I'd like to think we all need a little bit of love at the moment. So i've trawled through my computer and put together a small selection graphics you can use for your games. Odds and sods, bits and pieces. (some from old games, some simply abandoned)

I going to put together a more useful package in the future, one you can actually make games from. Just tell me what game type you'd find most useful, platform, racer, puzzle etc etc.

Oh and i know i said i had left the community, so you didn't see me right ;)

You seem very generous indeed... :-)

But… no offense.. I'm sorry to have my doubts you actually are the creator of all these images + animations. Would you mind telling me what software etc was used for your work??
Especially things like the EXPLOSION... or... etc..

Some of the images/animations simply look way to familiar..

And for the amount of time needed to produce these it's HUMONGOUSLY generous to simply give away... (And why give out 'unused' graphics that occur in your own games?? Don't you want to keep them exclusively to yourself??)

I'm sorry for doubting your generosity if I'm completely wrong here...

    You're completely wrong here.

Mr. F has been around this place for a long time, and made at least two games that I know of. Some of the graphics offered here are from those games.

He's an incredibly generous person (he made www.saladgamers.com for the community - all off his own back) that just likes to have projects 'on the go' - and he produces a phenomenal amount of artwork in a very short amount of time.

I believe he's giving actual 'game making' a rest for a bit. I've seen all of the graphics on show in projects he used to work on, and they are all his.

I understand your skepticism, but it's really not accurate here.

Hope that helps and that you enjoy the art!

    Hey CS!

No worries, if it's all legit no problem at all, but in my world it's extremely rare to come across people this generous (and productive/creative) plus having seen quite some stolen art in the past on these forums I am indeed quite the skeptical fella :-)

So in that case: Chapeau to Mr. F !!
Glad to see such humble people still exist... It's been a while :-)

    No worries!

Like I said, I completely understand where you were coming from. And it is a joy to know the berry!

QS, let's just skip all this chitchat.... Your place or mine??!! lol!

Ello UP. wow i think you're going to be blown away by the real graphics pack then :)
Though there is some truth in what you say. The effects folders were generated by using a very popular particle effects package (which i thoroughly recommend http://www.wondertouch.com/), so some of them will look familiar. So, yep, it's all my own work, and you're very welcome to it.

Of course if you're overcome with doubt or guilt, you can A.not use it or B.Plant a tree, or give your granny a hug or something. Personally i recommend the latter.

QS : Thanks for defending my honour noble sir! Now whisk me away upon your white horse, I'm yours!

    Hi Mr. F.
I really just felt like chiming in because I'm too familiar with people walking away with other peoples creative work, as a professional designer I've encountered this way too often, wether it was my own work or others.

When I quickly browsed your work some images/animations rang a bell, but possibly I've seen your work before, maybe played a game of yours.. dunno

The explosion I pointed out looked like it could be video stock footage. But of course even if it was video, it could have been created by yourself, I've created many footage as such myself in the kitchen... uhm no, I don't recommend it btw... :-D

So no worries, all cool, I have no need to use your work personally but keep it up for the needy in the community!! I'll go for the tree planting... I ran out of grannies a while ago.. :-)

EDIT - Wow wow... hold on.. just a sec here!! THE SHEEP… IS MINE!!

Okay, UP i know where you are coming from, i was never worried/bothered or cared. If i say it's royalty free, then that's just about the right amount of debate needed. Kudos for being a professional designer, what's that like? Hang on, are you really a professional designer? Sorry it's just a lot of people claim to be professional designers, and well, I've never heard of UP, and i'm pretty sure i know all of them. Hmmm. No no, i'm sure you are, in fact, i'm just glad your not one of those 'needy' ones.

Look after the Sheep, he likes to stay up late, so just put some paper down before you go to bed.
