Arcade style 1980's themed spyhunter game!

Hey guys

Thought i'd share the screenshots for my latest game, some aspects may be changed such as the look of the fuel and turbo bars at the top of the screen.

Its a 1980s themed spyhunter style game, 80's graphics, 80's sound, 80's based vehicles and 80's style twitch gaming!

along with the 3 vehicles shown there is also a motorbike and an unlockable car.

Each car/van has different acceleration and topspeed, this up's the difficulty for each mode.

The game is coming along really quickly and could even be a contender for a game in a day, all be it split over the course of 2 weeks or so.

I may create an ipad version with a 2 player head-to-head mode.

    the graphics suit the smaller iphone screen that a pc monitor, looks good in motion!

    thanks, i'm not the greatest with art programs so this style makes it a bit easier!

    Uh oh.... similar to my game... I'd better hurry up! LOL. Looks great, though! I love Spy Hunetr, hence doing a similar game myself... different enough, though, don't worry :D

    Really? I thought they were all laid off back in the 80s, due to a lack of spies to hunt. Oh wait, is he working IN the hotdog restaurant?

    Okay... I gotta work on my jokes...

    I thought I read a while ago somebody was doing a spyhunter style game, but as I hadn't heard anything more I thought it had been canned! Hopefully we don't release at the same time! Be good to not take early sales from one another! :)

    on a side note, trying to think of a name for the game. What do people think about "Renegade"?

    Sounds cheesily 80's to me!

    Hehe, mine's a top down racer, like Spy Hunter but completely different play dynamics.

    There is already an 80s game entitled Renegade... you should be fine though as it's a beat'em up ;-)

    I'll have a think, I'd rather not name it the same incase the publisher/developer of the beat em up make an iPhone version! cheers for the info!

    I think I've realised where the name renegade came from, but it's a 90's reference!haha. There was an old tv show called Renegade where a bounty hunter went around catching crims, he had a native american sidekick I think!

    haha, yes thats the one! I used to love that show. It was like an 80's action show that sneaked under the radar and was made in the 90's!

    Wish they still did shows like that.

    WWE have brought back PROPER action movies! Check out The Marine and The Condemned! Awesome flicks! Avoid The Marine 2 like the plague. LOL.

    I'll have to check them out, don't think I've seen any WWE films. I think the old hulk hogan films put me off wrestlers in movies for life!
