Selling Apps in the US from outside

Hey guys, I posted a thread last week about signing up to sell within Australia (which is pretty much sorted now), but now I'm trying to find some more information about selling in the US. This is more specifically a post for Aussie residents.
So I've got my ABN and all of that stuff sorted, and I'm trying to avoid any hiccups at the end of financial year. Am I required to have an EIN with the IRS? Or does Apple sort out the tax stuff before passing the payments on to me?

I noticed a part of the iTunes Connect statement that says "Apple shall collect and remit to the competent tax authorities the taxes described in Section 3.2 of this Schedule 2 for sales of the Licensed Applications to end-users located in the following countries" which has got me wondering if I really need one or not.
Any Aussies that sell overseas who know what to do here?
"There is an updated US tax declaration that you completed in iTunes Connect. You are not required to print and sign a W-8BEN form to submit to Apple.
Please note: Since the App Store contracts are characterized as a "sales/commission" agreement, as opposed to a "royalty" agreement, there is no tax withholding for sales in the USA App Store."
