How long waiting with your first?

Feel free to add any witty remark to the title ;)

My first game for the iPad has been 'in review' for 2 days now. Do you recall how long you waited? I'm thinking because it is my first it's taking longer...

Ok that was an unexpected and unhelpful response... :0

Does anyone know if they have to play through your entire game before reviewing it?

You asked for it in your post :)

I dont think they play anything, here is what they do IMO:

    1) Examine all the graphics and audio in your apps bundle to make sure nothing is there that breaks the rules
    2) Run a script that scans the app for undocumented function calls and other illegal crap
    3) Run the app and just play it once to make sure it doesnt crash. But they don't play through the end.
    4) if the app requires the internet, they play it in a room that has no access to the net and see how you handle it.

My first two apps were right at 7 days in review, but the latest was 10 days. I don't think there is any way to predict how long it will take, but it seems everyone has at least a week.

The first is always exciting, and you will remember it for the rest of your life!
