I voted for 24hours. Mainly because then (with any luck) the game's quality will be better than if you spend less time on it :D

    Good luck with it!

I wouldn't worry about setting a hard limit on yourself. You should just make a good product to not give yourself and gamesalad a bad name. The game in a day idea is something I have tried myself and found that for the product to be respectable it usually needs extra "perfecting" time. Granted you could probably pull it off but I would be more concerned about the game itself than if you spent an extra 2 hours here or there.

I try to sit down and give myself a timeline of when I should have certain things completed and see how close I come. I do this with all projects since it is a good way to keep and check and let things go. If I allow myself 2 hours to get the "perfect" intro screen and I am finding myself past the limit it is a good indicator that I am being too picky and need to move on.

Well I wish you best of luck on your project and look forward to seeing your game!

    Agree,

getting an idea that will sell is the most important thing for something like this. Simple ideas work and development time will simply depend on how long it takes to create that idea. If it sells then it doesn't matter if it took you 1 day or 5 days really.

Work hard this weekend. More then 8hours... The is working nice, some minors bugs to correct and main interface to do. Im redo art to 2D style and it is very fine. Sure do some steps back changing art style and fixing bugs, this consumes many hours... I think you will like this app. Regards, Riffel

the game was ready! Just last touchs on interface.
How proceed to have iPad compatibility.
Im like to have 2 versions and tiers.
  • quantumsheepquantumsheep Member Posts: 8,188
To make it iPad compatible you need to:

Submit the game as a new one
Change the title by adding 'HD or XL' at the end. Or something.
Resize all your actors and graphics to fit on the larger screen.
Check your rules to make up for the larger screen e.g. if you destroy an actor if he moves beyond 480 in the X axis, you'll have to change the number to 1024 or whatever the ipad screen x is.

Hope that helps - looking forward to seeing it!
