Hey guys and gals,

I wanted to offer a way to get your apps downloaded and reviewed for free. I've got a huge list of iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad users who want to try out these apps and review them. All I need from you is the name of the app and a code they can use.

Please note, these users aren't going to "give" you a good review, they will review them honestly. I think this will definitely help out for those wondering "Why did they give me 1 start?"

    The group of individuals are random users I've recruited to review apps. They are "paid" by getting a paid app for free. I have a large number of users who have different years experience using the devices, use different apps, and have different devices as well.

    I will try to see if any of my reviewers will review free apps, although they are not getting anything from it (I do see that your--Tomsitems--is free for a limited time, so that may help).

    I've got some who will do star ratings, others will do both star ratings and reviews. For a free app, they will do star ratings, for a paid app with promo code, they will do star rating and review.

    This sounds like a scam, it is also a violation of the EULA you sign with Apple.

    This is taken directly from the updated license today from Apple

    "Developers who attempt to manipulate or cheat the user reviews or chart ranking in the App Store with fake or paid reviews, or any other inappropriate methods will be removed from the iOS Developer Program"

    This means if you are caught making arrangements for 4 and 5 star reviews, your apps might be pulled and you can be banned from the app store.

    Save your promo codes and don't give them out to some unknown person posting in the forums. This guy could be one of the idiots out giving bad reviews!

    Again, clarification. The users are a random group of individuals not being paid to review apps and give honest reviews.

    How is this any different from sending out promo codes to the big app review websites...there's a chance that they will also post their thoughts in the reviews within the App Store...

    Anyway, thanks Joseph. All of the reviews my app received were truthful and even critical in some cases. Thanks again.

    I have about 10-15 reviewers (and more are joining everyday), and I give them one app at a time to review, if you'd like your reviewed and star rated, I can send out your codes. You can email me 7-10 codes, and most will be used and reviewed within two days. Thanks for the interest! My reviewers are loving playing this games and apps.

    Hey you all can do what you want, I don't care :) Just keep in mind, for all you know this guy could be the one running around giving bad reviews! Or worse, he may just be looking for promo codes to get some apps to pirate. Remember, anyone can be anyone on the Internet, this person doesn't even have a review website. Sounds fishy to me, but again you go ahead and give out your promo codes to whoever you want, I'd rather be smart about it.

    theres nothing wrong with being cautious, but ive given this guy a shot and hes pretty much legit in my books. the reviewers give fair and honest reviews. if by some chance you get a 1 star review, then maybe that person just didnt like you game but they will explain why. and then the off chance u could get a 3 or higher, it just depends. atleast i know im gonna get reviewed, regardless if they are good or bad.

    Don't worry. Most of us here know who this is already, and it's certainly not the original poster.

    That's a more interesting point. But the op has been around a while. It's not like he joined in the last day or month or something!

    This community is built mainly on trust and goodwill. The politics of fear and scaremongering are largely ignored. You're right though - people should be cautious. I just don't think this is one of those occasions.

    Well if you know him thats a completely different story! :)

    But to the general public he is not known, and has no website, so thats why I would be cautious.

    I have news for you, you're the one asking for promo codes, and I am telling you that there are PLENTY of websites out there that review games. If I need to show them to you, you're blind as a bat. So tell me, what sets YOU apart from all the other sites?

    My guess is you are just looking for free games, I see nothing that proves otherwise.

    Guess the sarcasm wasn't clear on my last post. Thanks for warning everyone, guess I should have included that in my original post, maybe I can do that now.

    Hey everyone! I'm a nobody that has a group of nobodies that will review your app for you if you'd like. Since these nobodies are doing this of their own free will, and are not being paid, I think it'd be fair for you to give them a promotional code, or if you are offering your app for free/limited time and want a review from them, let this nobody know, and I'll be sure to let those nobodies know.

    And I don't have a website for you to check out for legitimacy, so if you are concerned, DO NOT SEND ME AN EMAIL WITH PROMO CODES FOR YOUR APP, however if you are interested, email me (address is in a previous post)
