Resolution independence

Is Resolution independence increasing RAM usage?
I'm asking because when I turned it on, then GS Viewer is crashing when I try to preview this game on iPhone.

Thank you.

Nope, iPhone 3G. I managed to run it, but the graphics are blurry, so I'm changing now the dimenssions.
I noticed that, when I run my game on iPhone, images RAM usage was decreased from 9 MB to about 2 MB. I thought that Resolution independence would increase it.
This is some error, or Resolution independence really decrease RAM usage for images?

Yes, I know, and, please tell me if I'm wrong, I thought that we can use this option when we want to have one game for both iPhone 3G(s) and iPhone 4.

there are a few things you need to keep in mind when doing resolution independence. All images need to be divisible by 2 or they will blur. When you drop in the iPhone4 sized images, GS will automatically shrink it to half it's size for the iPhone3Gs screens. If you have an odd sized image, you can't shrink it in half.

All position's need to also be divisible by 2, if you place something at x=500, on the 3GS it will drop to 250, but if you place it at 501, it's going to try and put it at 250.5, and it will blur.

There is a huge thread about resolution independence, that has a ton of information on it. Do a search and read it through, it should answer all your questions
