My computer screen keeps turning off when gamesalad is open. I have no way of turning the screen back on and am forced to restart the computer with the on button. (If i hold it down long enough the computer turns off, which i know for a fact is BAD for the computer) Does anyone else have this problem?

I have the same problem but random. I have a new i5 27 inch iMac and installed gs and vmware. Atleast once a day, when I click on the start game button in gs editor, it can cause blank screen as above or a serious system crash where the mac issues a message in several languages telling you to hard boot the machine. 2 updates have been applied to update the ati gfx card drivers and still the same problem.

My 27 inch iMac recently started doing this as well. Before, the GS application would crash the Mac when trying to preview a game and give me the "power down your Mac" message (and still does occasionally) but it has done the black screen crash twice this week. Makes me afraid to work with Gamesalad. Wonder if stability issues are why GS is indefinitely in beta.

I am having the same problem too! running GS in iMac and most of the time i press on Preview it crash up the system.

Mac come out a page with different Languages and ask me to power off and restart.
Also having once where it turn off my monitor entirely and unable to turn it back until I power off my mac and open it on again :(

1st time experience with GS and I felt scary and unstable :(

    This is freaking scary :S

I'm planning on getting a 27" iMac as soon as I have the money - I hope they fix it soon.

    Don't think it the Mac.

my monitor will go black ... I have the sleep mode on with short time interval.

sometimes will not wake to the mouse click...necessitating a restart.
that only happens when GS is open or minimized.

at least once a day and has happened maybe twice during a Preview.

For what it's worth, I get the same thing. Random hard crashes where I either have to reboot or it does it for me. It's a shame because I'm really starting to like GS but afraid to open it again :(

    I'm running OS X 10.6.4 on a 2.16 GHz MacBook Pro.
