YESSSSSSS !!!!! YESSSSSS!!!! IM SOIOOO HAPPY RIGHT NOW!!!!
Will the express have the same features as the Indie? Future features like high score server and the ability to save data? And when?
;->
@Quantumsheep, DRFT LIVES!!!!
@JamesBoucher:
I can't give a time estimate for any particular feature, but I can confirm that the ability to save is something that will be available for both Express and Pro users.
On a related note, I was wondering what the response to Unity going free would be - if this is just a coincidence, then somebody up there likes you lot

The upgrade to Pro is nice too - but currently there is nothing really compelling for someone to choose pro over indi apart from a lack of a splash screen and a GetURL function.
Looking forward to future developments and a compelling reason to go pro over indi?
(pre built application funtion components perhaps input fields, checkboxes, submit data, wifi - bluetooth connectivity?)
An alternative, sort of, might be to put certain features into Pro, then release the features to the Express version after a period of time.
This would certainly provide a marked difference between the two skus. It would give Pros a head start, and express users would still get the same features - just a little later.
The danger is that Pro users might feel like they're beta testing features for the express users, and express users might moan that they want the features at the same time!
Still, something to think about!

Quantumsheep: Dear CodeMonkey. All I get is a blank screen.
CodeMonkey: Have you tried turning your computer on?
*by 'real' I mean 'made up'. Or it happened in the future. One of those...

Some UI improvements like create a zoomable game scene,
actor child and parent assigning to create linked sprite chains eg: car with individual wheel suspension dynamics bit like an IK chain in Flash, Max or Maya. Changable directional multiple gravity that can be applied to actors.....
I could go on and on really....
More than a 10mb upload would be awesome, I'm all for optimising games but compromising features to squeeze under the limit is just mental!
Pro developer should be 100mb or something? Now that's a feature worth paying for!
