Back in the early 2012's I had about 20 iOS apps in the AppStore! Been out of the GS scene since 2014 or so but I am thinking of joining back up again. Hey guys! It has been a super long while since I used game salad and also updating my games for the app stores.

How's the market right now for mobile apps? Also, are there many of you guys still using gamesalad?

For me, I'm getting back to using gamesalad because I got to update my games because they keep getting removed by google and apple for being too old.

I was introduced to Tan Tran by a former student of mine, and this has lead me to elect to test the GameSalad platform and curriculum for consideration in our secondary (grades 6-12) computer science program. Having Game Development Fundamentals courses available from our state office of education, I believe GameSalad is definitely an option that should be reviewed and considered.

My old account appears to be disolved or something...no badges...nothing...however my game builds at least are still available. LOL Gotta love all those slots games...spent almost 3 years on those.Was going through papers the other days and found stacks of legal pads with number generator methods and tons and tons of If/Than/Otherwise cascades. I think almost 4K lines without the wilds.

Anyways I just thought Id stop by to see how things are going. I have a brand new Mac being delivered Thursday...thinkin about workin on some of my old games if the current software hasnt bricked them.

Either way I have a few game ideas...some writtin on paper...some in my head...feeling it would take me a couple months just to remember how to use GS.

Actor stops jumping after moving into a block

Hi everyone,

I'm new here so sorry if what I'm about to ask doesn't make too much sense.

I have tried to look for this specific question but haven't been able to find exactly what I need.

My problem is that when I move my actor into one of my platforms (so that it's not jumping onto the platform, but merely touching it with its head, for example), the jump behaviour stops functioning. This only happens if I force the actor into the platform. For context, I have created a game In Air boolean attribute, which is what I am using for the jump rules.

Hey all,

My name is Sam. I'm a longtime gamer who has always had ambitions to create my own games, but have never acted on it because I've been intimidated by programming. After some extensive comparison shopping of no or low-code game engines, GameSalad looks like an amazing place to start!

My one question is whether I should be using the web interface or the native app. Most of the learning resources seem to be based on the native app. Are there key differences between the two? Thanks in advance for your help!
